In response to a fan who inquired about the game’s Deck compatibility, Druckmann stated, “Ellie and Joel will grace the Steam Deck… don’t worry!” The PC version of the game will be released next year, and you’ll be able to play it then. The Deck makes a bold claim, but Druckmann doesn’t specify how well it’ll run, so you may have to sacrifice framerate to make it work in the easy. Even though there is already a spruced-up version of The Last of Us for PS4, The Last of Us Part 1 is one of the few console games that insists on being played exclusively on a PS5. The fact that the Deck seems to be able to keep up with this current-generation showpiece shows how good it is. Following months of speculation, the remake of The Last of Us: Part 1 was released earlier this year. It was released in September for the PlayStation 5 and will launch for PC on March 3, 2023. Pre-orders for the game can be made right now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for those who can’t wait to get their hands on Joel and Ellie’s first adventure. But at this point, it’s not clear if that means the game will be “verified” or “playable.” With “verified,” Deck games have been officially made suitable for the portable system and should run without any problems. With “playable,” fans can play a game, but it may have some minor problems. The PC version of The Last of Us: Part 1 is scheduled for release on March 3, 2023.
