And Finally, After years of leaks and rumors, Konami confirmed that the Silent Hill 2 Remake is in the works under Bloober Team. Bloober Team revealed in the live event that they are utilizing the full potential of modern technology to revive the timeless cult classic. The engine being used for the development is the infamous Unreal Engine 5. Lumen and Nanite features of the Unreal Engine 5 are being utilized to generate ultra-realistic in-game scenes. After the visual and some combat style improvements, the game’s audio is on the developer’s priority list. Mateusz Lenart, Creative Director & Lead Designer at Bloober Team, revealed that they are using the WWise sound engine to optimize the game sound.  They are also taking advantage of PlayStation 5 features like PlayStation 5’s 3D audio and DualSense controller technology to deliver an immersive experience for the fans. One more improvement that we have seen in recent times is the ‘seamless experience’ approach with less or no loading screens. Similarly, Silent Hill 2 Remake will not have any loading screens, thanks to the latest SSDs. The following statement from Mateusz Lenart precisely summarizes the vision of the Bloober Team and where they are headed with the Silent Hill 2 Remake: Well, with technological advancements comes demanding hardware requirements. While the classic Silent Hill 2 was playable on PlayStation 2, the game’s Remake requires a decent rig to rock.  As the Steam page for Silent Hill 2 Remake went live, the Minimum and Recommended PC requirements for Silent Hill 2 Remake were revealed.
