If we have to summarize the Pimax Portal in one line, then that would be ‘a handheld device that has it all’ as the official description of the project on Kickstarter suggests: The goal of Pimax is to compete with industry-leading VR and handheld tech products like Oculus Quest by Meta, Valve VR, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, Logitech G Cloud Gaming, and PlayStation VR. Pimax Portal has already surpassed its funding goal of $200,000 46 days before its deadline. The Kickstarter campaign is currently sitting at funding of $323,835 with 469 backers. To ensure the all-in-one capabilities of the Pimax Portal, the device will be powered by the following components:

Undoubtedly the company’s goals are ambitious with this product, to say the least, and it will be fascinating to see how this all-in-one device turns out upon release.
