The company announced the 150W SUPERVOOC and the 240W SUPERVOOC technologies at the 2022 Mobile World Congress event. OnePlus 10T even received the 150W SuperVOOC charging tech when it launched earlier this year, although we are yet to see a phone with the 240W SuperVOOC technology. Oppo’s 150W fast charging utilizes two charge pumps, which is essentially a kind of DC-to-DC converter to achieve higher voltages. The 240W SUPERVOOC tech on the other hand is powered by three charge pumps, most likely with 80W (10V/24A) on each channel. – Oppo Press Release Other Chinese phone manufacturers are also not holding back, and Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition with 210W fast charging. While the 210W seems quantitively lower than Oppo’s upcoming 240W charging, the 0-100 charge times won’t likely differ a lot as even the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition manages to top out its battery under 9 minutes.
