It has many greater features that can be discussed, but the one this guide will go through is how to scan multiples pages into a single PDF files. Scanning is a simple with VueScan due to its great interface but it’s not the same with scanning multiple pages into a single PDF file. You will have to enable this feature first in order to start using it. The method varies slightly for different versions of VueScan. The version of VueScan is written right next to its name when you run it.
For VueScan 9.5.48 and Later
Open the VueScan software. By default you should be on the Input tab. In the Input tab, next to Options, Select Standard from the drop down menu. This will add extra tabs and options that you can modify. Now go the Output tab by Clicking on it. Select PDF next to File type if not already. Check next to PDF multi page. Make sure your scanner is connected. Now Press the Scan button to start scanning.
When the first page finishes scanning, make any changes that you want to. Then Press the Scan button again to scan the next page. When you have scanned your last page you want in the pdf file, Press the Last page button on your screen. Your multi page PDF file will be ready.
For VueScan 9.4.67 and Earlier
Simply Run VueScan. Go to the Output tab to Open it. If you cannot see the Output tab, then Click on the More button on your screen to see these advance options of VueScan. In the Output tab, make sure PDF is selected next to File type. Place a Check next to PDF multi page. For earlier versions, there can be a drop down menu instead next to PDF multi page. Select On from the drop down menu. Make sure your scanner is connected. Now Press the Scan button to start scanning. When the first page finishes scanning, make any changes that you want to. Then Press the Scan button again to scan the next page. When you have scanned your last page you want in the pdf file, Press the Last page button on your screen. Your multi page PDF file will be ready.
