The business has stated that later this year, customers will start seeing modifications to Gmail for tablet users, greater emoji support, additional accessibility features, and other enhancements.

If you use Gmail for business purposes, the new update may already be available. You can always go back if you don’t like the new appearance, at least for the time being. If you don’t use any of those applications, you may disable or enable them from the Quick Settings menu. For those who don’t have the Chat feature activated, you will still see the new design by default, but in a Gmail-only view. Google gives extremely simple guidelines for you to follow if you want to switch back:

At the top right, click Settings.Under Quick Settings, click Go back to the original Gmail view.In the new window, click Reload.

The redesigned user interface now consolidates the Mail, Meet, Spaces, and Chat buttons into a single list at the top of the left panel rather than showing a number of discussions from each list. They are still easily accessible and in an arranged manner. All of these updates to Gmail are ultimately a part of Google’s strategy for the Workspace app, which is meant to deliver a better, more unified look with AI-powered capabilities.
